Case study for a compliance manager role with a company called innovacer.
Prompt 1: The compliance program guidance created by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Inspector General (OIG) outlines seven elements in an effective compliance program. You have been engaged as a consultant to help the government improve their approach to effective compliance programs. You’ve been instructed to reduce the number of elements from seven to six. Using what you know about compliance programs, write a short, persuasive essay explaining your approach to eliminating one of the seven elements.
Prompt 2: As above, you have been engaged to help the OIG improve their approach to effective compliance programs. However, the request is now to add an eighth element. Write a short, persuasive essay on the element you believe should be added to the government’s guidance on compliance program effectiveness.
Prompt 3: Using what you currently know about Innovaccer’s business, products, risk profile, and trajectory, write a short, persuasive essay explaining which of the seven elements you believe is most critical to our business and why.
Instructions: Choose one of the three prompts and respond in an essay not to exceed 2,500 words. Submit your writing sample as a Word or PDF document by midnight CST, 3 days from today. Submit your writing sample back to the recruiter who shared this case study with you. We understand that unexpected things happen, so if you need more time just let us know. This exercise is about your compliance program knowledge, unique perspective, and writing ability. There is no right or wrong response to any of the prompts.
Note: You do not need to respond to all three prompts! There are three options provided to give you more creative freedom, but you only need to select and respond to one.
