Paper Two has a lot of supporting materials to help you craft your paper. This includes paper instructions (which are long and detailed but worth reading!), a grading rubric, a checklist, and an example paper from a prior semester. If you look over ALL FOUR items, your chances of getting a good grade will improve dramatically!
The first section is the *methods* section. In this section she expects us to describe in detail what exactly we did. What the variables were. How we made each Twitter page different to account for said variable (like the types of photos we used), what kind of questions we asked, what scale we used to measure participant responses, did we go in person, was it a survey, how did we choose our participants, did we brief them about the study and other stuff like that.
The second section is the *results* where you basically just list the results you got when analyzing the data. She wants us to focus on *3* different calculations.
-2 should be an ANOVA done on any 2 Katie or Sarah dependent variables (so like did Katie seem insecure and is Sarah a good friend for example).
-the third calculation HAS to be a chi-square that focuses on section 6 of the study (the one that asked participants to recall which photo they saw Sarah post).
While doing the results section they want to make sure we used the correct numbers so we’re being required to input our SPSS tables embedded in the text as we explain the results. (This also applies to the participant demographics that we’d mention in the methods section)
The final section is the *discussion* where we just talk about the significance of the results, if the results aligned with our hypothesis, and what it could all mean in the grand scheme of what we were studying (the effects of filters in social media). This can honestly be the shortest section bc she even said she recommends at least 4-5 sentences so it doesn’t have to be too complicated.
