Learning Goal: I’m working on a psychology question and need a reference to help me learn.Using Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological Model of Influence (read page 35-37 in Child Growth & Development), and watch the video found in your weekly module, describe the influences of your early development. Include specific personal descriptions of the 4 “Systems” of the Model (Microsystem, Mesosystem, Exostytem and Macrosystem). How does understanding of ourselves, help to build responsive relationships with children and their families? Then respond to two other student’s Ecological Model, how did their descriptions help you to better understand Bronfenbrenner’s Theory. Be very specific with your peer response. Go beyond “I agree”… why do you agree and what information from the reading and lecture video support that agreement or do you find contradiction? We don’t always have to agree with each other in order to learn from each other. As you see from the various influences within each of our Ecological Model’s, differences are the norm.
