Hello everyone, Research assistants are under a lot of stress. One of the many responsibilities that a research assistant’s role entails is facilitating and mediating data collection and maintaining quality controls (Naufel & Beike, 2013). Some of those responsibilities include corresponding with all members involved, preparing surveys/questions, and summarizing the data. Research assistant’s most crucial decision is choosing to be honest within all aspects of the research. If a research assistant chooses to be dishonest, the credibility is not only impacted but their dishonesty will terminate them from the research study and their position. First and foremost, a research assistant needs to ensure informed consent is completed prior to conducting research. At that time, the research assistant should be transparent with the participants about the study and what it entails. Moreover, funding and grant offers may be a challenge in which case may cause a research assistant to change or alter the data that was collected. A researcher may put pressure on their employees by threatening their position, therefore the research assistant may input data that chooses the perceived outcome of the specific study. Additionally, a researcher may have an undesirable influence on other’s people work by refusing to assist their team or by sabotaging the work. please react and provide feedback to the above course work.
