Think about a child you know and how they developed language (or ask a family member to tell you about your own language development as a child). Which theory of language development do you believe most accurately explains how children develop language? Give reasons for your answer, and include at least one reference from the module or an outside source to support your argument. What guidelines would you recommend to parents to help them to make television a more positive influence on their child’s cognitive development?
