While there are many facets that affect the development, there are several major theories that continue to shape how we view adolescent development. In this discussion thread, we will explore these theories and how they are viewed by a variety of perspectives.
In response to this discussion topic, select two (2) of the major theories and
·        Summarize how both theories view adolescent development
·        Identify the perspectives (psychoanalytic, cognitive, or social-cognitive) under which both of these theories operate
·        Compare and contrast how one theory differs from the other based upon the perspective from which it views adolescence
·        Provide real-life examples of how both theories can be seen in adolescents today
