Introduction of the Paper

1. Describe your current job: a brief description of your job
<
a. If you are not currently working:
<
i. you can talk about a previous job
<
ii. if you have no previous job experience, you can talk about a relativeâs job but please make sure to get enough information about the job that will help you to fulfill all the requirements of this paper, including getting the job description, responsibilities, mission statement, so you can decide what psychological principles are in action at the work site, and decide if they seem to be effective according to the employees of the organization (in this case, your relative);

iii. You can talk about a job that you would want to hold in the future, give a brief job description, responsibilities, what goal you would try to achieve through your work, what principles you would like to see at your work site and how they can help to achieve the mission statement of your job.

2. Discuss your responsibilities at your job: what are your duties
<
3. Describe your jobâs mission statement: what is the goal of your organization/what they stand for (i.e., providing good customer service, providing quality healthcare, etc.)

1. Think of 5-6 psychological principles that you see in action at your job (keep the mission statement of your organization in mind when thinking of these principles/techniques).

a. You can pick any principles from the textbook/lectures but they have to be relevant to the mission statement of your job

2. Do not just define the concepts; incorporate them into your writing.
<
a. An example of this might be: âDownsizing in the organization has led to an increase in the remaining employeesâ responsibilities, impeding the companyâs mission to provide good customer serviceâ. This is just an example. Please use your best judgment when incorporating these terms

Conclusion of the Paper
<
1. Bring your ideas and concepts together. Are these techniques/concepts effective at your

work site?
<
a. For example, âConsistent performance feedback provided by the supervisors
<
helps the company to achieve the goal of increased sales numbers at the end of

each monthâ

2. Discuss if these concepts or techniques help achieve the mission statement of your
<
organization:

If not, what changes can be made to achieve the goal

⢠The analysis should be 2 -3 pages (NOT including the title page)

⢠The paper should have a title page with your name centered in the middle of the page-no

specifications on the font size for the title page (please see attached page for example).

⢠The paper should begin with the first paragraph (no need to put your name, date, title, or

any other information; your name and title are already on the title page)

⢠VERY IMPORTANT: Bold face the concepts that you are using in your paper

⢠You DO NOT need any outside materials for this reflection paper. HOWEVER, if you do

decide to use any information from an outside source, you have to make sure to include
<
in-text citations as well as a reference page. The reference page and the in-text citations
<
need to be in APA format.
