Title: Hispanic culture project.
The presentation will use the following format:
PowerPoint Presentation 40 to 55 minutes long.
Narrative sections (at least the following):
A. Introduction
B. Population
Discuss your population:  Who makes up the population? What multicultural issues does this population face in our society (nationally, locally)? Include statistics about the population. You may use credible websites to gather current information on statistics.
C. Advocacy
The rile and process of the professional counselor advocating on behalf of the profession (you can use ACA Advocacy Competencies)
Address the advocacy processes needs to address institutional and social barriers that impede access, equity, inclusion, and success for clients.
D. Cultural Sensitivity in Counseling
Importance of cultural sensitivity in counseling and what steps counselors need to take to ensure multicultural competence.
Multicultural and pluralistic trends, including characteristics and concerns within and among diverse groups nationally and locally.
Address attitudes, beliefs, understanding, and experiences, including specific experiential learning activities designed to foster the counselor’s understanding of self and culturally diverse clients.
E. Client Example
Use a movie, television series, documentary, TedTalk, or book, etc. character to use as a client example of the above information to be presented to the class.
