2000-word essay:
Choose ONE of the following Public Health Interventions for your essay. You are required to write an academic essay to discuss the intervention you choose.

The coursework for the module is a 2,000 word ([2200] + or – 10% [1800]) referenced essay. Your submitted work must include page numbers, be presented in size 12, Arial, with 1.5 line spacing, the work should be left hand only. There should be an additional line space between paragraphs.
You should avoid the use of the 1st and 2nd person and use an appropriately formal academic style, avoiding contractions (e.g., don’t, won’t, etc.) and informal or spoken forms of language. Essays do not typically use headings and sub-headings.
Be sure not to identify any individual or organisation directly or by implication in your work (NMC, 2018). Equally, unless crucial to the argument and/or where the information is already in the public domain, refer to organisations only in the most general terms, e.g., an NHS trust.
Also, you must create and include a title page with the following information

• The actual word count;

• The Module Leader’s Name and the Seminar’s Leader.
Introduction (300 – 400 words)
The purpose of any introduction in academic work is to provide the reader with a clear idea of what the assignment will cover and how the learning outcomes will be met.
• You must clearly identify your chosen Public Health Nursing Intervention and your reason for choosing it.
• Your introduction should also provide: a clear introduction to the intervention and a definition. This should be followed by a clear plan of the essay by outlining its structure and content.
Body of essay (1200 – 1400 words) Reflect on and answer the following:
• What do you think are the most important features of the intervention you have chosen?
• Discuss the history of the interventions and the current evidence base surrounding its’ effectiveness as a public health intervention.
• Describe how you think the intervention can be used in your role as a Nursing Associate in your area of practice, e.g. an adult service, children’s service, or mental health service?
• Identify and describe two or three examples of how the intervention has been implemented in the public health arena.
Conclusion (300 – 400 words)
Please do not introduce any new topics in the conclusion.
Summarise the main findings/conclusions.

Your work will be assessed on the extent to which it demonstrates your achievement of the stated learning outcomes for this assignment (see above) and against the level 4 assessment criterion (within the Assignment Brief Information shell) and other key criteria as defined by your programme team.
