THEORY IN NURSING EDUCATION PRESENTATION ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
OVERVIEW
Select a nursing theory and theorist and analyze the impact on nursing education. Your presentation must be completed in Microsoft PowerPoint and contain the following information below in the instructions to meet the criteria.
INSTRUCTIONS – 11 TOTAL SLIDES
1. Title slide with student name, name of theory, and name of theory author (1 slide)
2. Short descriiption of the theory (1 slide)
3. Who developed the theory? What influenced the development of the theory? When was the theory developed? Has the theory been updated, when, how, and why? What is the classification of the theory? (3 slides)
4. Describe how the theory has impacted nursing education. (2 slides)
5. Identify and define main concepts of the theory. (3 slides)
6. Reference slide (1 slide)
You must utilize the notes section to provide additional information and “talking points” that would be utilized in a presentation. A minimum of 75 – 150 words should be included in each notes section. A minimum of 5 peer-reviewed scholarly sources (including the Meleis text) must be used. Classic resources may be used if needed to describe theory development. Sources must be cited on the slides according to current APA format with the author and year in parenthesis and the full sources cited on the reference slide.
