The following elements are required in the final paper
• In the Introduction section:
o Mention of at least two topics in social psychology and why they relate to your paper. A
“topic” refers to anything that we had a lecture or a reading on (e.g., emotions, prosocial
behavior, prejudice). (50 points)
o Reference to at least four studies. You do not need to read the original study, as long as you
can describe the relevant information and citation information from in-course texts. Studies
should logically relate to the topics referenced in a way that flows naturally into your
hypothesis. (50 points)
 Only two studies per topic count toward this requirement. For example, if you refer
to two social psychology topics, each one should have two relevant studies cited. If
you refer to three social psychology topics, you should cite one study each for two of
them and two studies for the most important one.
• A Method section with the descriiption of a potential study. As neither statistics nor research
methods are required for this course, this section will be graded leniently. Proposed studies should
avoid any major ethical violations, should cite at least one research article, and should demonstrate
a basic understanding of research as discussed at the start of the semester. (50 points)
• Proper use of APA style. This includes a Introduction and Method section, in-text
citations, and References page. (50 points)
