this weeks discussion was about leadership skills and characteristics and I took a leadership skills questionnaire and this was what I wrote.
For this discussion, I chose to do the Skills Approach Leadership Questionnaire. I chose to do this questionnaire because I wanted to know what leadership skills and qualities I have and what skills I need to improve on. Effective leaders should be able to communicate well, motivate their team, handle and delegate responsibilities, listen to feedback, and have the flexibility to solve problems in an ever-changing workplace (Doyle, 2021). After doing this questionnaire, I got an overall high score for all three categories which were technical, human, and conceptual skills. I learned that I am very hands on with every task. I need clear communication with every team member, and I think that is one of the most important things in leadership. I also learned that I am very team oriented, and I love to learn new things from others. These skills and qualities are the foundation of being an effective leader and I will continue to learn and grow into a successful leader.
