Project: Culture and Personality Theory Due on 7/8 Friday

Your final project is to create a verbal presentation using power point slides on your theory of choice addressing the following components below:
Instruction for PowerPoint Format
Each slides should include headings (slide title). Your presentation should include all the following part.
(1) (Title page): Presentation title & your name
(2) (Overview): 1 slide
Describe your topic and provide an overall preview of your presentation
(3) Main ideas of (the theory of your choice): 1-2 slides
Provide a conscious overview of the main ideas of the theory of your choice.
(4) Discuss if you agree or disagree and why: on a separate slide: 1 slide
(5) Culture: 1slide
Discuss how your theory views the role/influence of culture in personality development. What is the overall strengths and weakness?
(6) Enhancing cultural aspects: at least 1 slide
Choose 2 components of culture (e.g. gender, sexual orientation, spirituality, ability/disability, national origin, race/ethnicity). Evaluate how your theory of choice addressed or failed to address the 2 components of your choice. Whether your theory of choice addressed the influence of the 2 components on personality development or not, discuss how you might want to further incorporate culture to strengthen your theory of choice (This is the key component in the final project)
(7) Ethical Consideration:1 slide
Based on your discussion in (6), incorporating cultural aspects in the theory, discuss ethical implications in understanding a psychological theory. In what way considering cultural contexts is an ethical practice in understanding and applying a personality theory and/or understanding a person’s personality?
(8) (Conclusion/Summary): 1 slide
Highlight major points of your presentation and/or provide a brief summary on what you discussed
(9) Reflection: 1 slide
Reflect on the process of doing this project. How was it like for you to do this project? How did this assignment deepen your awareness and understanding?
