"Social Change at Walden Social Change From its founding, Walden University has been a university dedicated to promoting positive social change. Reading Harold ‘Bud’Hodgkinson’s founding paper, ‘Walden U: A Working Paper’ will give you a sense of the original vision which still fuels Walden’s passion for innovative learning and positive social change. During 2004, a task force made up of faculty and students was formed to help the university create this definition of social change. Positive social change results in the improvement of human and social conditions.
