In this assignment, you will choose one mode of communication used by your animal model (my animal model is ants) and describe the anatomy, physiology, and behavior of that mode. For instance, if you choose visual communication, you should discuss the type of eye possessed by your animal. You should tell me the wavelengths of perception that animal is known to have. That is, describe what is known about both the production and the perception organs. You should discuss how that mode of communication changes over the course of that animal’s life. You should include any known sex differences. You should discuss the signals produced by your animal in that modality. You should include at least 3 peer reviewed journal citations in your write-up, both cited in the paper (APA style) and included in a separate (4th page) reference section. NO QUOTES will be allowed.
