Rubric Annotated Bibliography
Students will complete an annotated bibliography on a family topic approved by the professor.
The bibliography will require a minimum of five pages with a minimum of six references. A
rubric will be provided to further explain this final assignment. Bibliography includes the three
parts as listed in the example: 1) APA reference, 2) brief summary of articles content, 3) brief
summary of articles value to your research. If any of these parts are missing, points will be
deducted.
“A” paper (above the minimum) 7-9 references – APA Some of the things I look for: flow to the
writing, good grammar, punctuation, use paragraphs (5 sentences in a paragraph),transitions
between the paragraphs, coherent, no spelling errors, well-organized, good understanding of
the text – In #3 your appreciation of the article and how it supports your research. For
example; I am able to get a chapter published in a book because of my annotated
bibliography on Candlelight Vigils in South Korea. The bibliography gave the publisher a
glimpse into my research
