You will research and review the Advocate Aurora Health and Atrium Health merger announced in May of 2022 and compare/contrast with the Beaumont and Advocate Aurora systems’ failed merger of 2020. Advocate Aurora was the common entity in these two cases, so focus most of your system analysis on that system. In general, since I am always asked “what I am looking for in the group project”, the following may provide some direction: provide the circumstances of the Players, What brought them to this juncture, Why are they seeking a merger, and What are the expected Benefits/Outcomes/Obstacles. Provide supporting information regarding your conclusions with pertinent information. The review should also contain material that is matched with the articles presented in this course and key strategic items as noted in this course, e.g. telemedicine and artificial intelligence.
