Analyze ONE of these video sections using the conceptual vocabulary presented in this unit spanning from concepts of culture and acculturation to cultural humilty to privilege. To support your anlaysis, you need to find and incorporate at least two peer reviewed articles related to the culture and health beliefs, religiosity, explanatory model, or other cultural factors (family, gender, age, historical trauma) of the video’s subject and situation.
You’ll find both poor and potential positive examples of cultural compentecy and culyural humility in these videos. Don’t shy away from analyzing the filmaker’s premise (and unarticulated biases) itself, while analyzing aspects of culture, intersections, privilege and marginlization i the video. In other words – apply EVERYTHING in your readings (and the required videos) to your analysis!
