PURPOSE
The goal of this assignment is for the student to explain the preceptor role, eligibility criteria and obligations, course and program student learning outcomes, as well as the mission and vision of the University of West Florida, and the mission and vision of the UWF School of Nursing. Faculty will contact student preceptors to discuss and clarify any quesitons once the agreement form has been signed.
The Interprofessional Collaborator (IPC) will work with the student to help identify the community of interest and complete the Community Needs Assessment. Additional collaboration will take place as the community action plan is implemented and evaluated.
The Preceptor will work with the student to identify the priority healthcare concern for the community and the implementation, evaluation, and presentation of the Community Action Plan. Additional collaboration will take place as needed.
FORMAT
Students will complete and upload the Preceptor Orientation Packet and the Preceptor Information Form.
