⢠Attend either a speaker meeting or a discussion meeting. In a speaker meeting, an alcoholic tells his/her story to the group. In a discussion meeting, a chairperson facilitates a discussion about various issues. Other meetings are not informative enough for a newcomer and I will not accept any meeting other than a speaker or discussion. So, do not attend a big book or step meeting.
⢠Attend only an OPEN DISCUSSION or OPEN SPEAKER meeting.
⢠OPEN means anyone can attend; CLOSED means only alcoholics can attend. Thus, you should attend only OPEN meetings.
