Presentation of a Personal & Professional Development Plan (Individual /15mins)
A detailed personal and professional plan developed according to the criteria indicated by the template provided; this will include articulate aims / supporting objectives / required actions / objective evidence required to demonstrate success / appropriate timeframes.

This component requires formal reflection, careful consideration and the subsequent identification of 4 development areas related to the specific leadership competencies noted in the module competency map.
The presentation will address all 4 plans, and will
• Identify the framework or model to which the competence relates
• Focus on the salient points within each plan

COMPETENCE 3 SLIDE will relate to the development of SERVICE / COMMUNITY
COMPETENCE 4 SLIDE will relate to the development of a PROFESSIONAL ISSUE
EVALUATION & REVIEW SLIDE will
• identify the REFLECTIVE PROCESS you adopted,
• comment on the LEARNING you have gained
• note the CHALLENGES the task posed
• note the BENEFITS the task achieved

5. Demonstrate how to present oneself positively and communicate effectively with people and teams (SEI)
Dedicated assessment guidance sessions will be incorporated into scheduled classes, as well as at least one additional pre/post class opportunity. This will be announced in advance to facilitate maximum attendance but will also be dependent on classroom availability
GUIDANCE from feedback:
-You are required to develop 4 goals and therefore the template should be completed x4
-the template will be presented and should be SMART objectives/what evidence you would use to demonstrate achievements
– You need to understand the difference between a GOAL/AIM/OBJECTIVE as whilst they must be connected as they are very different.
-You need to be specific about your choice of goal as it must relate to one of the models or frameworks and specify the element you intend to target.
-Lewin’s change model is use with operational services not for self development.
-A change model is not for leading others- this should have related to COVEY 4&5 and the NHSLM
-NHSLM is not targeted to service development- its a leadership model used to support the management of change when using an appropriate model.
-This is not a nursing or social work degree-its public health and therefore you must use appropriate literature to develop your work- the PH professional frame
