The aim of the essay is to enable students to undertake a critical enquiry into a chosen aspect of midwifery. It is a written coursework: Critical literature review of 4,500 words (plus or minus 10%). Students will be expected to critically review a wide range of literature, including the analysis of recent reports and their implications for improving midwifery practice. Conclusions drawn should summarise the evidence reviewed, leading logically to recommendations for individual and professional practice. I have chosen the question above but I am happy for it to be adjusted to as the SPIDER and PICOS tools supposed to be used to create question. We have been recommended to use databases such as CINAHL, Pubmed and Scopus. We were asked to include a 100 words why for our topic, I have included what I wrote and the feedback I received.
