The purpose of this “Myth” paper is to explore and dispel commonly accepted myths and misunderstandings regarding human sexuality. This assignment asks you to research and reflect on common myths.
Directions: For this paper, please choose ONE of the topics below. Then in 2-3 pages (12 font, double-spaced, APA format), state the myth you have chosen and why you think it is a myth. Then dispel this common myth by doing your own research outside of the textbook. Remember in your discussion of the myth to explain why this myth still exists. Why does the general public keep perpetuating it? What can you/we do to dispel this myth?
You can use primary sources like books, journal articles and reliable websites (no About.com or Wikipedia). Make sure to cite all of your sources using APA format.
