This assignment will be to write a position paper in relation to the presentation by Steve Nelson, retired CEO of UnitedHealthcare, at the Miami Herbert Business School in March 2019. His presentation titled, Making Health Care Work Better – For Everyone, addressed transformation in healthcare.
Steve Nelson discussed three ways UnitedHealthcare is approaching transformation, specifically:
1. Simplifying and personalizing the patient experience
2. Modernizing the approach to the delivery system
3. Redefining access
The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has disrupted the way patients engage with the health care system. This experience has drawn even closer attention to personalized health care, the need to reconfigure delivery models, and barriers to access that Steve Nelson speaks to. It also presents an unparalleled opportunity for innovation.

2) Write a Position Paper: Select one of the three ways UnitedHealthcare is using to approach healthcare transformation. Prepare a Position Paper addressing the chosen approach in terms of a population health position you elect to take regarding the approach. Your paper MUST reference Steve Nelson’s lecture on the approach UnitedHealthcare is taking for the position you chose. For instruction on how to write your paper, please use the guidance found in the document titled, WRITING A POSITION PAPER. Your paper should be no more than five pages. Cover sheet, reference list, and appendices do not count as part of the five pages.
3) Submit your assignment via the Assignment link in Sakai and provide a cover page with your name, name of the course, date and assignment title. Papers must be formatted according to APA formatting guidelines using 12-point font, double spaced, Times New Roman, one-inch margins, running head and pages numbered.
Please a page is 275 words if you can include half a page as courtesy making it 2.5 pages instead just 2 pages, I would sincerely appreciate it.
