Hi, this is a journal assignment. Donabedian’s framework for measuring healthcare quality comprises of a triad of domains: Structure, process, and outcomes. Think about a recent health encounter you have had with a healthcare provider. Discuss how the visit’s quality was on each domain. What is your overall assessment of the provider’s quality? What recommendations would you make to improve quality? I don’t have any recent doctor visits, but the last doctor I had before I switched doctors had a horrible wait time. I always would get there on time for my appointments and I would always have to wait for 2 to 3 hours before they saw me. Also, they would always lose patient information in the system. I feel that it was staffing, training, and customer service issues. The quality of care was ok but I always felt like I was being rushed once the doctor saw me.
