I am writing in response to the medical surgical position as an entry level registered nurse at Sharp
Coronado Hospital. I am a new graduate RN ADN, but I have been an LVN for ten plus years.
I have had the opportunity to work in several settings, including SNF, behavioral health, postpartum, and
hospice. My experience has provided me to develop strong skills that prepare me well for the challenges
of nursing. I have been recognized as dedicated, trustworthy, and dependable by my superiors and
co-workers.
While working in Hospice for five years I became particularly proficient in communicating well with
patients and their families in difficult situations. Quality patient care is my passion. I am calm and detail
oriented when organizing plan of care.
I collaborate well with others and have a team player mentality. The last two years I have worked in a
skilled nursing facility and was recently promoted from Med Nurse to Head of the Treatment Team. I love
the team I work with, however I am ready for the next step. My plan is to apply my skills as a Registered
Nurse to the fullest extent at Sharp Coronado Hospital.
