A 36 year old male with a history of cervical spinal cord stimulator (SCS) placement presented with transient right-sided hemiparesis and diplopia that began two days after a coughing episode. Imaging revealed that one of the patientâs SCS leads had migrated from its original position. Deactivation of the SCS resulted in significant improvement of his symptoms but did not resolve them completely. The SCS system was surgically removed resulting in complete resolution of the patientâs symptoms. This patientâs unique neurologic symptomatology is a previously undescribed complication of SCS placement and lead migration.
