THE REFLECTION PAPER SHOULD BE ABOUT FETAL ALCOHOL SPECTRUM DISORDER IN NORTHERN BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA.
Objectives:
1. Students will reflect on the content of the readings, the classes and discussions, and relate them to
some aspect of their own knowledge or experience.
2. Students will exercise their ability to write a concise argument, citation and referencing skills and receive
feedback intended to improve those areas of academic performance.
Instructions:
Students are required to write one reflection paper on some aspect of rural or Aboriginal health issues. The topic may
be something that came up in class, a required reading, something reported in the media, a current event, or
information gained from a rural/Aboriginal health website.
Students have the option to submit their topic for feedback one (1) week before the due date.
• Each reflection paper should be typed, Times New Roman 12pt font, 1.5” or double-spaced, 1” inch margins,
and be exactly 3 pages (excluding a cover page/with the student’s full name and UNBC ID#; a reference
list; and any appendices).
• The 750 words paper (3 pages) will allow each student to discuss, and question the issues or
situation they are addressing.
• Each paper should be supported by at least two academic references (articles from an academic journal).
The referencing format to be used is APA 7th edition.
• Your paper should be submitted in the ‘Assignments’ Dropbox on Blackboard by the due date/time.
Please note: All of your written work for this course should follow the APA 7th edition formatting and style
requirements.
