Each student is required to select one research study on a topic related to adolescent development, analyze the research, and write a 2-3 page summary of this analysis. Articles must be original research studies from the professional literature (peer reviewed journals and no meta-analyses).
The written summary must include an analysis of the:
Methodology used in the study and potential application of the research results
Ethical concerns the study may raise (If your article does not comment on ethics, you should formulate your own opinion about the ethical nature of the study. If you do not have concerns, go ahead and defend the study as having used ethical practices and explain why you believe it was ethically run)
Major theories of adolescent development that would support the research
Questions about adolescent development the research answered or raised for the student
