Write 3 different Reflective pieces. Each reflective has different target outcome. In SECTION 4 in the PORTFOLIO please see 2 structures: Portfolio 1 – if not using Reflective model e.g. Gibbs model or Portfolio 2 if using reflective model.
Reflection 1 (see description you can add fe more on it in the description as long as the thought is there) Reflection 1 – select a critical incident which has occurred in practice relating to prescribing (i.e. a prescribing decision or medicines management concern), reporting risk or your role in critical or major incidents, ensure that you critically reflect on the legal and/or ethical aspects of this incident and how this will inform your future practice. Discuss 10 rights of medication administration, or any Medication Legislation UK – Medicine Act 1968 that covers the incident. Discuss organisation culture – Nursing management team did not offer help to cover shift as one nurse short on that critical incident – shortage of staff. Although there’s no medication error but there’s always room for mistake or error.
Learning Outcome 1 – Preserve safety and make sure that patient and public safety is protected through your ability to make evaluative judgements on the legal and ethical aspects of your role in relation to prescribing, reporting risk and your role in critical and major incidents.
Reflection 2 – select an experience from practice, critically reflecting on how policy impacts on the prioritisation of a specific aspect of care i.e. Cancer Care, Screening Programmes, Quality and Outcomes Framework. This scenario patient has Carcinoma of Unknown Primary – Palliative/End of Life Care.

But this time focus on that same scenario but more on reflection to hit Learning Outcome 2. Prioritise people through your ability to critically reflect on your role in managing and focussing on the needs of others in times of political and policy change where services are driven by the need to reduce cost and therefore ration those service. Discuss the Golden Standard Framework in the reflection and critically analyse this as not been apply on the patient Mrs M. Also mention, communication breakdown between professionals involved.
