I came to the United States at a young age and was given the opportunity to accomplish the goals and dreams my parents couldn’t, due to financial instabilities in their country. At a young age, I got to experience the death of my grandfather from lung cancer. I saw how my family suffered his loss and were left with questions because they couldn’t quite understand the medical jargon. As a result, I recognized that nursing is the most ideal career for me to achieve my professional and personal aim of, and to be able to help families understand what is going on with their loved one every step of the way.
I have sincere compassion to care for people, who are at their lowest point of health in need of support. There is an overwhelming and irresistible urge to help people who are sick, whether it is through physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual treatment. At the same time, I realized, after some reflection, that nursing is a profession with a lot of room for advancement. When people grow older, they may need to deal with a variety of illnesses throughout their lives. As a result, it presents a variety of challenges for me to learn and in the form of meeting people with various health problems, as well as an opportunity for individual satisfaction and enlightening awards.
