o Caring for patients with different cultural preference: How being culturally competent enhancing caring for the LQBTQIA community.
• Provide one example to support how you met each of the seven course objectives for this course as a result of your reflection and analysis of the course objectives and your learning over the past 7 weeks.
o I chose the Amish population as a vulnerable population Powerpoint presentation.Since the beginning of the course,I was able to identify the state clearly the presentation objective and identified core components of the Amish community, what makes them unique, detailed demographic and population in Illinois including the Evidence based practice applicatble to them to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.

Course objectives
• Construct a definition of culture:
o this was achieved by defining and elaborated on culture during the discussion post
• Determine the meaning of the concepts related to an understanding of culture, generally or specifically, from the perspectives of the client, nurse, educator, researcher, leader/administrator and organization:
o As a nurse who provides culturally competent care is beneficial to the patient and the healthcare system as a whole, reduces health disparity, increased health promotion in communities, and reduced avoidable ER visits, reduced cost for families.
• Critically appraise models and theories that explicate client, community, and nurse worldviews and behaviors.
• Week 2 provided the opportunity to review health models The Purnell Model, (developed in 1995. The model makes it possible to culturally understand people while promoting and protecting the health and dealing with illnesses. The nursing model was developed by Larry Purnell in 1955as a cultural evaluation for the nurses (Purnell,2005).
• Foster patient assessment

• Explore the multidimensional challenges of defining health and quality health care delivery within contemporary societies.
o Week 5 we focued on global health, health promotion through social media and mission trips and developing health promotion and collaboration in developing countries.
• Evaluate research, study designs and outcomes appropriate to understanding the issues associated with cultural perspectives in nursing and health care.
o Week 6 I focused on the LQBTQIA community as a vulnerable population and how there isn’t enough nursing education on care for these population. Identified the health challenges and how health care seeking can be inproved among them.
• Synthesize perspectives of culture in general, the nurse and client culture, within a topical area through the process of concept identification and development. Week 4 cultural competent care for patients with language barrier and poor literacy
