Complete the reading and review PPTs for Ch. 5 & 6.  Answer the following questions while using content from your required textbook.
Chapter 5:
1.) Using the https://www.congress.gov/ website, identify a recently proposed health policy legislation.
a.) Provide some background about the health policy you identified above.
b.) Do you think there is (or isn’t) enough of evidence to support the proposed policy? Explain.
2.) How does the political climate affect the choice of policy tools and the behavioral assumptions made by policymakers?
3.) Identify opportunities that are currently in place for RNs and APRNs to begin activity in policy-making.
Chapter 6:
4.) Who are the champions in your organization?  What qualifies them to be champions, or which qualities do they possess?
5.) When your organization has implemented a major change, did it have the benefit of a strong implementation climate?  Explain.  Which steps did the organization take to ensure successful implementation effectiveness?  If the implementation wasn’t effective, what do you think could have been done differently?
6.) How did your organization determine the success of the implementation of the new policy or innovation?  Which measures or outcomes were evaluated?  Do you agree the organization evaluated the right measure or outcomes?  Explain.  If not, what do you feel should have been evaluated?  Explain.
