Describe any difficulties you had (or are having) in making your choice, and the factors that drove/are driving your decision. Identify at least one professional organization affiliated with your chosen specialty and provide details on becoming a member.
*I want to be a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner because of the need within the African American Community. African American people, especially southerners don’t believe in seeking out therapy. I want to bring awareness to the community.*
I hope to join the National Black Nurse Practioner Association to help bring awareness to my community.
