This week, you will be writing your EBP project proposal. You will have received feedback from your instructor in Week 4 about your research question, so please use those comments and suggestions for the EBP project proposal publish that you will submit this week.

7. Select Theoretical Framework: write a brief summary about the theoretical framework and why it is relevant to your research topic. (We will return to writing about this in more detail in upcoming weeks.)

TOPIC: THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON MENTAL HEALTH OF HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS SPECIFICALLY NURSES.
My area of clinical research is Mental Health, focusing on Covid-19 pandemic how it has affected the health care providers specifically the Nurses working in different health care facilities.
I chose Mental health because I currently I work for a State Hospital, Tewksbury, Massachusetts as a Mental Health Nurse on the Hawthorne units in the Department of mental Health. I also worked as a Covid tester Nurse working with children in 5 districts in Massachusetts.
It has been a challenge dealing with covid Covid-19 pandemic and its effects on mental health. Not only it affects the people who have contracted it but the caregivers who are taking care of the patient with fear of contracting the Virus and take it to their loved ones.
The Covid-19 has placed unprecedented strain on healthcare workers, particularly nurses. The primary goal of this study is to determine the prevalence of stress, anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbance among nurses in general during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as to investigate the factors that contribute to these symptoms.
My goal is a to see if we find appropriate interventions to monitor and reduce psychological problems and other issues like sleep disturbance among nurses. These interventions are needed to support nurse’s work during contagious disease outbreaks. Also, how can we prevent or protect these nurses in the future if something like this happens again.

Recommend narrowing focus to one variable such as sleep disturbance in nurses working on COVID units? This is a suggestion, only. Keep variables simple and measurable. Stay consistent with terminology.
