Analysis of Organizational MVV & Diversity/Implicit Biases
Complete the following below:
Locate the Mission, Vision, and Values (MVV) of your own organization. If your organization does not have MVV statements or does not have an MVV published on the Internet, locate the MVV of a healthcare organization on the Internet.
Copy and paste the link to the Web page of the MVV in your response only. Do NOT paste the MVV of the organization in your response. (Be sure to click the link once pasted to be sure it is a working link directly to the site.)
Post your responses to the assignment questions directly to the discussion board – no attachments, by Wednesday of Week 3. Required word count – 400-500 words. Two points per day will be deducted for late submissions.
Does the MVV reflect value and respect for cultural diversity and diversity as a whole? Why or why not?
Clearly explain how the stated MVV is reflected in the overall organizational environment. (If you are not currently working in an organization, how would you expect to see a stated MVV that values respect for cultural diversity and diversity as a whole, reflected within the organization?)
Define implicit and explicit biases. Give an example of each type of bias.
Explain how implicit biases might negatively influence the organizational environment for both patients and employees?
