After exploring the learning content for this week, choose one of the following activities that interests you to apply what we learned about to practice.

Locate and read at least 5 children’s books written about several of the chronic diseases and medical conditions discussed in this chapter.  List the title, author, and a brief summary of each book.
You can find books at …….  Library or being read aloud on YouTube (if you search the titles)
Develop a simple, 5 day menu (including breakfast, AM snack, lunch & PM snack) for a toddler who is allergic to milk and milk products, chocolate and eggs.
Develop an emergency response plan for a child who has a seizure disorder and discuss how it would be implemented in the classroom.
Design a poster for classroom teachers that illustrates, step-by-step, how to use an EpiPen.
Discuss what teachers can do to support a child who has recently undergone cancer treatment and is ready to return to school.

After competing one of the above activities, post your work and please thoughtfully respond to two other classmates.  Be sure to expand upon what their response by connecting to your personal experience, provide a useful resource, and/or ask a thoughtful question to continue discussion.
