For the exam, I am really looking for concise and succinct answers to the questions. My advice is to read through the case study and highlight the parts that might relate to the questions – for example, the disability, any symptoms, vocational history/interests. Then when looking at the questions, write what you know from your own experience/knowledge and what you have learned through the textbook & lecture notes. Then reread the question and see if you have enough information to answer what that question is specifically asking. If you need to add more, then do an internet search for more information. Bottom line is that I am looking for you to provide an answer to the specific question – so if it is asking for functional limitations, for example, make sure that your answer is addressing that topic. There is a lot to know about the different disabilities, but we are trying to narrow it down to 3 specific areas for each case study to help gauge your overall knowledge.
