PUB 572 – Health Care Laws/Health Care Policy Research Paper Instructions The Health Care laws and Health Care Policies continue to transform the health care landscape in the United States. Health Care Policies today is more complex and dynamic than ever, due to the heavily regulated nuture of organizations that are concerned with public well-being in the United States. Health Care Laws is a reference to overall bodies of rules and regulations with which American Industries are required to remain in compliance. These relevant areas include, public health, occupational healthcare, bioethics, infectious disease control, global healthcare and more. Health Care Policies are actual rules and guidelines meant to bring an organization or government initiative to achieve a specific outcome. They may be maintained as legal measures by the United States government at the local, state, and federal levels. Assignment Instructions: For this assignment, students are required to select a prominent health care law/regulation or policy of their own choosing. (Identify Year, Author, originating Congressional Committee) Discuss the levels, branches, and institutions of government (federal, state, local) involved with making and implementing this policy. Describe the stakeholders affected by this law/regulation Discuss the policy issues, pros, cons, or health implications of this policy. Identify the political players trying to modify or influence this policy. In your opinion describe how or if this policy should be modified and what needs to happen in order for the modification to occur to lend to a positive health outcome.
