EXPLANATION: For this active learning task, students will contribute to content curation of mental health resources. While traditional learning entails the sharing of information from instructor to student, with active learning, you will be expected to investigate, create, reflect, and share knowledge available online with the rest of the class.
DIRECTIONS: Properly vet your selected resource by paying attention to indicators of reliability/validity whether they be in the form of credentials, cited research, personal-lived experience, surveyed results, or another mechanism. There is no need to purchase access to resources for this project. (Please choose open-sourced materials or that which can be accessed via your student subscription to Galileo.) In addition to sharing the link to your selected resource, students should summarize the following in paragraph form:
1) Why was this resource selected in terms of its’ usefulness, relatability, and/or impact? 2) What is unique about this resource in addressing mental health?
3) What do you personally appreciate about this resource? Why would you suggest it to others?
4) How does your selected resource address current events and societal challenges? 5) If you can make one adjustment or tweak to this resource, what would it be and why?
