titles and a reflection that explains their motivation for each book selection. Book titles refers to a novel, a
tale, a poem’s book and self-help books.
Paper standard: 3000 words
The context of why the book is useful for the situation, as well as the setting and how any family members
may be involved are important element of evaluation of the book. The overall paper should include the
following critical elements:
• INTRODUCTION – This should lay out the foundation of the paper and should be a group collaboration
that includes:
– An overview section that describes the main issues in the case study
– What issues are involved in the case study
– The setting in which the individual is encountered
– A description of the individuals both directly and indirectly involved
– Any elements about the individual that need to be addressed in the case study
– Any elements about others involved with the individual in the case study that need to be
addressed (relationship, etc.)
• EXAMINATION OF THE CASE STUDY – This addresses the evaluation of the case presented from all
perspectives, not only to address the stakeholder in the case study, but also any others that may be
involved to increase the well-being of the individual. This section must include:
– Potential topics in the case study to be addressed
– Why these topics are important
– A list of four books that can be used to address both the individual in the case study as well as other
individuals that may benefit from bibliotherapy
– Includes a variety of poems, short stories, fables, fairy tales, novels, non-fiction, and self-help books
– How, if applicable, bibliotherapy can be applied in conjunction to other therapies or social settings
• EVALUATION OF BOOKS – each student must contribute a minimum of three titles with descriptions
– For each book, a complete description that includes:
– Book title and author
– Overview of book
– Why this book is indicated in this situation and who it is directed towards
– Perceived outcomes of the book
