From within your chosen public health topic and the public health issue you selected in the previous module Assignments, you now start to develop a research study to answer the qualitative and quantitative research question you have developed for that issue, using the research approach/design you proposed. In this Discussion, you will consider the sampling approach for qualitative and quantitative data collection, including the challenges.

Stroke is a leading cause of death in the United States and is a major cause of serious disability for adults. About 795,000 people in the United States have a stroke each year. In 2018, 1 in every 6 deaths from cardiovascular disease was due to stroke. The risk of having a first stroke is nearly twice as high for blacks as for whites,2 and blacks have the highest death rate due to stroke.
