Final Project
Your final paper will be 3-5 pages in total, and it pertains to how different concepts have contributed to your identity. You can include a brief introduction section here that helps set up the discussion of the different items of the paper below.
Developmental Factors and Identity
Please write 2-3 paragraphs in this section about which factors in your development have contributed to your identity (this was discussed in module 2 of the course). Topics such as your environment (nurture) and any relevant biological changes (nature) can be discussed here, as well as aspects related to socioemotional development from the discussion that was assigned in the module.
Social Influences and Identity
Please write 2-3 paragraphs about your social influences and how they have impacted your identity. This was discussed in module 5 and in milestone 2 (the jamboard assignment). Please leverage some of your previous work on this to help you with answering this section.
Learning Theories and Identity
Please write 2-3 paragraphs that discuss how learning theories have helped in developing your identity. This was discussed in module 3 and in the milestone 1 assignment. Please review that information to help you with this section of the essay.
Learning More about my Different Identities
Please write about 3 paragraphs or so on discussing your multiple identities (racial, ethnic, gender, sexual) and explain how you plan to learn more about these identities. This was covered in module 6 of the course, as well as in the milestone 2 assignment.
My Identity and Strengths
Please write 1-2 paragraphs about how your identities make you stronger. Try to write about how they might impact your confidence or self-efficacy. This was discussed in modules 7 and 8, and was also covered in your milestone 3 assignment. Please use those items to help you answer this section.
Conclusion
While not mandatory, you can end your essay with a brief conclusion that helps to wrap up what was discussed in the different sections of your paper. Please make sure you submit your final essay to D2L by Thursday, 12/15 at 11:59 pm CST.
