Students will review the various types of acute care clinical notes in order to develop a voiceover PowerPoint presentation on documentation. Students will address the following:The purpose of the clinical note
The various types of clinical notes used in the acute care setting (history and physical, progress notes, consultant notes, etc.)
The similarities and differences between the different types of clinical notes (when you would use one vs. the other)
Choose one clinical note and discuss the components of that note
Download the SOAP NOTE Template Download SOAP NOTE Template, create a brief patient scenario and fill out the soap note based on this scenarioYou must use the screen share setting to record yourself going over the components of the soap note and how you would fill out the soap note based on the scenario you have created
The presentation should be no longer than 15 minutes
You will also need to include graphics to make your slides interesting and engaging
You must NOT have several long sentences on the screen that you are reading from
You are to create bullet points for each slide, not including the title and reference slides. Include speaker notes for each slide by including 4-5 sentences to address the bulleted items on each slide. Follow current APA Style and include citations in your speaker notes
This is a voiceover presentation; please review the instructions on how to export the presentation with your narration
Include a minimum of 2 peer-reviewed research articles as references in the presentation. All research articles must be within the last 5 yearsNo blog, chat, other universities, or Wikipedia pages
