What was done: Works with a ADN (Associate Director of Nursing) in a nursing home. – does a leadership meeting (talks about patient falls, accidents/ injuries, new hires, patient readmissions from the hospital, covid breakouts, state visits, new patients’ arrival with their care plan, faculty issues, supply orders, Dietary issues. – goes to each floor to collect daily reports. This will be sent to the chief executive officer.
– An ADN Meeting has been conducted which included all the nursing leadership members. They spoke about the shortage of staff for the evening shift from 3-11 pm.
27 nurses, 11 LPN’s , and 47 PCT’s have either taken retirement resigned, or departed from the nursing home.
Due to this ADNs had to cover floors and facilities at the same time.
-doctors have been lacking to do their duties as well. Doctors don’t put orders and give them to nurses to do them.
-pharmacy orders are also delayed because the doctors put/sign whenever the doctors feel like it.
