Throughout this course you have been working on components of your Capstone Project based on the topic you selected in Session 1. Drawing from your past reading assignments, discussion threads, faculty input, and experience over the course of your Bachelor of Science in Psychology program at CCU, it is now time to finalize your Capstone Project. Be sure to utilize scholarly terms prominent in the field of psychology and clinical counseling.
Your finalized Capstone must be:
8-10 pages (not including cover and reference pages)
Organized with the following headings:
Introduction: Provide an introductory paragraph(s) and thesis that outlines the purpose of the paper.
Problem Question/Critique an Issue: Clearly state your question/issue that you will be answering in the process of this research paper.
Literature Review/Research: Present a review of the literature to show you are well informed about the topic and content of the paper. Select sources that provide substance and unbiased perspectives on the issue.
Integration of Theories: Based on your review of existing material, integrate and evaluate relevant psychological theories.
Solution/Answer to Questions: Identify a potential/real solution to the question/issue that your topic aimed to answer. Address cultural diversity, social issues, and ethical considerations and how these impact individual potential and/or group achievement.
Conclusion: Provide the “so what” of your Capstone. Now that you have completed your Capstone, what impact do the results have on you and others? Your conclusions should include recommendations for practice that demonstrate informed decision making, and a biblical foundation for application in the field.
