Submit an expert report to MPs on one of the topics listed below (2,500 words; you may have up to 10 per cent over as an absolute maximum; words beyond this will not be marked, and you MUST state your word count correctly. This word count refers to everything in the main body of the text, including headings, tables, figures, quotes, lists etc. Items not included in the word count are titles, contents pages, executive summaries or abstracts, appendices, bibliographies or reference lists).
You must illustrate your answer with reference to recent empirical research and theory.
You have been asked by a Parliamentary Select Committee to submit an expert report on ways to improve the UK’s health in one of the following ways:
Reducing STI infections in the under 25s
Your written submission must be supported by recent research and theorising in health psychology. It is important that you state the nature and extent of the problem being considered, the likely ’causes’ of such action, and possible remedial action. It is equally important to be clear about the likelihood of success of the intervention(s) that you are recommending, and your reasons for this.
