Assignment: Due Monday. This first week’s assignment is an APA paper. Please follow all rules for an APA paper including title page, page #s, running head (7e APA requirement for student papers), introduction, level headings, conclusion, reference list. It should be 1500-2000 words (500 for each section noted) and 3 sources are required and integrated into the paper. Please review the Essay Rubric found in the Assignment upload link in the lower right corner. Every paper in this class requires correct APA.
This week you reflected upon the difference between a “manager” and a “leader” and discussed this concept with your classmates and professor in the discussion board. In a written essay please answer the following questions:
(500 words) What are the differences between leaders and managers? What characteristics are similar and what are different?
(500 words) Provide a total of three examples of the below. These can be made up individuals or examples you have seen without any identifying information. Discuss how the staff of each individual would be affected by the skills of the leader/manager.
First, of someone who has great managerial skills.
Second, another individual with great leadership skills.
Third, another person with poor managerial skills.
(500 words) Complete the Emotional Intelligence Test (link found in the Module Learning Materials.
