Choose one disease process or injury that you would like to learn more about that’s cover in term 2. Decide on an organ system or organ. You will be investigating the disease from the cellular level through treatment. Review the grading rubric below for required elements of the paper. Define the basic terminology related to pathophysiology
Contrast selected physiologic alterations with normal body system functions across the lifespan

Examine the components of the healing process including wound healing, tissue healing, requirements for healing, and control and regulation of healing
Describe the various types of tumors including causes, symptoms, structure, and behavior
Describe clinical manifestations associated with pathogenesis of body systems
Define the basic approach to diagnosis and the use of diagnostic procedures of human disease
Define the basic approach to treatment of various disorders based on current medical science and clinical practice
Summarize the physiological basis of pain, pain phenomena, and pain management

Paper must contain a title and reference page in APA 7th edition format.
The body of the paper must be 3-5 pages in length (this is excluding the title and reference pages)
Choose one disease process or injury that you would like to learn more about cover in Term 2.
Introduction: Identify the disease process and explain why you chose this particular disease or disorder. Identify the population at risk for this disease process (age, gender, and ethnicity).
Discuss the disease process using terminology relevant to pathophysiology. Describe the disease process from the cellular, tissue, and organ or organ system levels. Describe normal structure and function and the alterations caused by the disease process. Describe cellular proliferation or tumor if applicable to your chosen disease process.
Describe the healing or recovery process of the targeted tissues or organs. Is the tissue capable of recovery or regeneration with treatment? Explain why or why not.
Describe clinical manifestations associated with the pathogenesis.
Define the basic approach to diagnosis and the use of diagnostic procedures to identify the disease process.
Define the basic approach to treatment based on current medical science and clinical practice.
Describe pain phenomena related to the disease process and pain management.
Conclusion: summarize the paper including key points.
