Teaching Ideas – Create a Flyer (1 page)
Identify a population of older adults you see regularly. Perhaps at work, at a faith-based setting, in your neighborhood, etc.
Determine a health-related topic you believe is of importance to them (safe exercising, blood pressure awareness, advance directives, living with younger generations, flu shots, etc).
Create a Flyer
Review the resources in the Toolkit Part 9: Material for Older Adults to help you create a 1-2 page flyer (one page single or double-sided) to present educational materials to older adults.
Again, you pick the older population and the topic. This is all for hypothetical purposes for this assignment, but ideally, you may be able to use your work in some other setting besides school.
